My Projects
Over the years I have been involved in projects, and started some of my own. This section allows me to share some of my work for other people working on related areas to benefit from.
Travelmap provides a fully configurable flash map of the world which can display a selection of countries with associated information. The countries can be linked to pages on a Drupal site. It is intended initially that the map is used to show a world view of countries visited for each user, but in future could be expanded to anywhere a flash map of the world is needed with information on certain countries.
The E-Ticket module is a module I developed for a site I built with Drupal, http://www.pimpsandhoessociety.org.uk. The event needed to sell 200 tickets and we decided the easiest way to do that was sell them online instead of chasing people for money! The module works using the Drupal E-Commerce API and adds an E-Ticket product type that can be sold. You can limit the amount of tickets for the event, and on checkout, the user is presented with a form to add ticket details, which are saved in a guestlist.
The birthdays module is a module for Drupal that I developed for the Drupal community. It stores user's birthdays and automatically e-mails them on their birthday, sends reminders to admin and lists upcoming birthdays in a side block.
For my masters year at university, I was involved in a multidisciplinary design project (MDDP) with several other people, to research and design a solar energy house for the UK. You can download all the reports we made from here.
For my final year project at university, I designed and built an on board computer (OBC) for a pico-satellite being developed by SSTL. I have provided my final report and the circuit schematics here.
